If you have lost a loved one through death or know of someone who has, then "A Christian's Perspective - Journey Through Grief" is a must read book. When you lose someone you love it is often the most painful experience you will face and have to endure. Author and Inspirational Speaker, Shelia E. Lipsey shares her personal journey through grief with her readers while at the same time expressing her battles and triumphs with God and her faith. She also touches on the devastating terrorist attack of September 11, 2001 as she relates with the thousands who lost loved ones. This book is written from her perspective and is thus the title "A Christian's Perspective". A Christian's Perspective is candid, open and written from the heart.
Book Review/s to share: Christian's Perspective: A Journey Through Grief by Shelia E. Lipsey is a candid view and personal testimony of how devastating death can be. After losing her fiance to a violent death, and then later experiencing the tragic terrorist act of 9/11 along with the rest of the nation, Ms. Lipsey was impelled to pen this inspirational and informative novella. Death can be frightening from many views-fear of not seeing loved ones again or perhaps dreading the journey of life without them. Ms. Lipsey's book is delicate but frank about the detrimental effects anxiety can cause to our well-being.
Often there are times when death is sudden and unexpected. A Christian's Perspective: A Journey Through Grief encourages readers with topics such as Allow Yourself to Grieve, Cling to God, and Faith vs. Trust. Ms. Lipsey substantiates her analysis with scriptures which evoke readers' confidence in the ability to move on while journeying through grief.
A Christian's Perspective: A Journey Through Grief reiterated some things I'd already learned, but had dismissed because of mourning. I was reminded that God had not left me, and that I'm not alone in my time of sorrow. Reading Ms. Lipsey's commanding story of her loss helped me to understand that I am not the only one who has experience the sudden death of a loved one. I felt alone-like I couldn't live without my beloved brother, and that it was unfair for him to die before me. A Christian's Perspective was affirmation that I could and should go on without feeling guilty.
Congregations, schools, and even workplaces can benefit from A Christian's Perspective. I predict Oprah and bestsellers lists nationwide will soon get wind of this influential testimony. Kudos to Ms. Lipsey for having strength and the will to inspire and share her experience.

Book Review/s to share: BEAUTIFUL UGLY takes you on a journey through the lives and loves of these three best friends and offers some insight into their familial history, which provides a necessary element to the story. BEAUTIFUL UGLY displays, at a repetitive pace, the changes each woman makes through the power of the Lord. Their needs are realistic, their methods, at times, scandalous. With a catching dialogue amongst the characters, Lipsey was able to portray each woman's hopes and dreams for the future.
BEAUTIFUL UGLY genre is Christian fiction and it reveals the power of leaving your burdens with Him. When left to us and others, we fail every time.

Beautiful Ugly Shelia E. Lipsey
In “Beautiful Ugly” by Sheila E. Lipsey Envy, Layla and Kacie are three women that go through a spiritual awaking in their lives. They are each learning a very important life lesson that will bring them closer to each other and to God.
I’ve often read Christian fiction and I must say “Beautiful Ugly” is one of the best I have ever read. The characters are very real and engaging. The book teaches an important lesson that all girls and women need to know.
Sovereign destiny connects the families of Prodigal Runsome and Teary Fullalove, but no greater bond is formed than the one between Prodigal and Teary.
Prodigal and Teary’s loyalty toward each other can bring along with it some tough times. Especially when Prodigal's secret love for Teary is anxiously looking for a way to reveal itself. Teary, on the other hand, is leading her own life, oblivious to her best friend's true feelings for her.
The strength of Prodigal and Teary's faith and their relationship with each other is questioned more than once. Yet despite the suspicions and unanswered questions about the real depth of their friendship, Prodigal and Teary can't seem to break the bond of togetherness that was formed when they were children.
Prodigal’s older sister, Fantasia, struggles with inner demons of her own, as does their mother Ruth Runsome.

I enjoyed "Into Each Life" through and through. Teary and Prodigal both had bad things to happen in their lives. But God brought them through all of those times. I was excited to finish the book, because it seems like alot of me was in that book. Prodigal lost his wife, and his leg but never lost the love for Christ. Teary had two bad relationships and found true happiness with Christ love and Self Love. I have these words to say "BUY INTO EACH LIFE IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE". I meet Shiela Lipsey in the bookstore in Memphis and she was very nice. I will be telling all of my friends to purchase "INTO EACH LIFE" Follow Gods laws and you will never go wrong. Know your SELF and love your SELF.

In My Son's Wife penned by Shelia Lipsey, we meet the Graham family. Beloved Pastor Chauncey Graham, his wife, First Lady Audrey Graham, and their two children, the troubled Francesca Graham and, her half-brother, Stiles Graham. We also meet Francesca's best-friend, Rena Jackson.
Audrey adores Rena and thinks she would be the perfect fit for her son, Stiles, who is on the path to becoming a pastor just like his step-father, Pastor Chauncey Graham. Little does anyone know, aside from Francesca (Frankie) and Rena, that their "friendship" is much more than meets the eye. Home from school, Stiles has the chance to meet the much older Rena. Instantly, he is captivated by her and soon after begins to court her. But, when Frankie gets wind of their relationship, she becomes livid and destructive to herself and all those who love her.
Wow, Shelia Lipsey takes it there with My Son's Wife. She masterfully wraps the subject content of religion around that of molestation, homosexuality and skepticism. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter set the mood for what will occur, often times I found myself nodding and in full agreement with what they represented. I do wish the title of this book was different because the story, more so than anything, focused on Francesca and her actions which affected everyone. This book was a great read and one I recommend to everyone.

Entering a world that she has only seen in the movies, Aisha is drawn into a secret society comprised of some of the wealthiest men in the world. This review is from: Sinsatiable (Urban Christian) (Paperback) I am oh so glad that I was afforded the chance to get on board with the works of Mrs. Lipsey. When I finished reading Sinsatiable, I had a whole new look on life, and the way that we as people look to our own understanding as opposed to God's understanding for our lives. In Sinsatiable Aisha a.k.a Lucious barely sacrifices her very soul for the one thing she loved most; Dancing.
What we fail to realize in life, is that every thing that seems good to us isn't good for us (in Aisha's case it was her money situation). But for others it could be a slew of other things. While reading this book I was up, I was down, I laughed, I cried and for all of these reasons I must give Mrs. Lipsey a 5 Star rating because this book truly, truly made me take a step back and look over my life. If you haven't read it please pick up a copy it is well worth the read
