Creative communication skills of a novelist Marina Markovic will stimulate imagination of younger readers, with the story about a little boy, who is fighting with his conscience who reviews itself and its procedures, provoking in him a remorse or accountability for each committed mistakes. Telling in verse gives a story certain melodic elements and makes it very acceptable for young readers.
Author in a very melodramatic way displays child’s pranks, games, suffering, the first friendship of two boys, from adventures first fishing and collecting stickers for album. Sometimes small quarrels can bring closer friends for the whole life. “ A grasshopper” in the role of boy’s conscience says to the future readers that in life has sadness and joy, that of ourselves depends on how to go through all hard times from youth, to old age. Every moment has its charms and beauty.
Writer in a very educational way offers to young people many solutions for their ambiguity. Reading the story “A Grasshopper in the Head” every child will find them and find the right solutions for all the difficulties in childhood and in that way and good basis in older years.

The purpose of the story is to bring back confidence and trust in the system of values, which are slowly, but undoubtedly disappearing in the times of social and historical disturbances. Teaching of honor, respect, responsibility, sincere friendship and confidence within a family should become a part of not only one’s personal philosophy and child and childhood psychology, but they should represent the basic postulates, on which the children education is, and should be based, and this is what this story offers. Besides the educational, the story has its artistic significance, based on the skillful combination of poetic acts. It is worth one’s attention because of the aesthetic pleasure it offers, the poetic superstructure of everyday reality, magnificence of its style acceptable by the reading audience, children before all, as well as for the universality of its theme and idea. This story does not leave the adults indifferent.
