Bio: Saundra Crum Akers lives in Columbus, Ohio but sets her mystery/suspense novels in small towns in southern Ohio where she grew up. She has published eight novels and has another, set in Sinking Spring, Ohio in the re-write stage.She is currently at work on a novel set in Chillicothe, Ohio. What genre/s would you like to write in?: mystery/suspense, fantasy, historical mystery
Please share with us who or what encourages you to write and why?: I love to create the characters and to manipulate them into situations, then help them to escape. It's like reading in reverse to write. I enjoy both reading and writing.
How long did it take for you to write your book/s?: I've been writing two a year
How long did it take for you to publish your book/s?: Since I do some publish on demand, not that long
Who did you publish with and why?: Publish America, but I didn't like being tied to a contract. Authorhouse Xlibris Eloquence press Outskirts Press I'm trying different things to see what works best.
Please share with us how you prefer to market your book/s?: I do readings and book signings as well as sell from my website. Also some books are being sold at Amazon
Please share with us any event/s that you have planned in marketing your book/s: Right now I have a number of conferences coming up. I go to Boucheron this month and to another one day conference in Mansfield,Ohio. I'll be doing a book signing there the day before. I also have a couple similar events coming in November.
Do you wish to share any additional information with our readers?: I can't think of anything right now. I do maintain a blog on my website for those who might like to share blogs.

Carmel Simpson, a married woman is having an affair. She decides to end it and try to make her marriage work. Her lover says he can not let her go and locks her in a room of his house. Carmel is despondent, suicidal, and guilty. One night she tries to end it all but the ghost of the house appears at this critical time. He has other plans.
This book is about a ghost who is seeking his lost family, a ghost hunter who is seeking him, a depressed and desperate woman and her struggle for survival, as well as the swamp of personal relationships and how one can get bogged down in it.
