Seven days ago; I have come to realize that after I had finished writing the sixth book in my series, where all of this began. I was eight years old watching a new television show, Star Trek.’ Shortly after that; they played a horror flick from the year 1933; long before I was born. It was titled, Dracula, with Bela Lugosi. I was drawn in and permanently planted there. I found vampires to be the most fascinating, intriguing creatures out of anyone I have ever known. They exist by night, fed upon the humans; resisted sunlight and garlic. They were suave, charming and very seductive; especially when they needed to feed. Long after that, I discovered the other classics, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Werewolf and various other creatures from the Underworld. I had found a new home; a place I actually belong.
