Murder, Secrets and Injustice in a Small Town
Anastasia Cassella-Young

Anastasia Cassella-Young weaves an intriguing tale with Murder, Secrets and Injustice in a Small Town.

This tale carries the reader through a maze of deceit and lies, keeping you guessing what is around the next turn.

The characters in this story are believable and engaging. I felt that these were people that I knew, people whose lives I was involved in.

Reading this made me feel as though I were fly on the wall. Ana began to feel like a close personal friend, and I began to feel like her confidant. I felt true indignation at the injustice that was done to both the victim and to the accused. As a reader of true crime novels and stories I have to say that this one felt so much like reality it was scary. The crime, the corruption, the cover up all screamed out to me for truth and revelation.

After a bad marriage Ana leaves Florida and returns to her home town in Maine with her teen aged son Bill.  Ana hopes to start a new life there for her and her son, but soon the ghosts of the town's past are resurrected when Ana meets and falls in love with Sherman. Ana believes that she has finally found happiness with Sherman and that she will at last be able to offer her son a stable life. Reality sets in however when Sherman reveals a dark secret to her about an unsolved murder that occurred years before. Suddenly Ana's life is thrown into a terror more frightening than any nightmare could ever be. As she struggles to keep her sanity and deal with the secret she has promised to keep, she soon feels that it is a battle she will lose.

The Rogue Bear & Other Short Stories - Anastasia Cassella-Young
The Rogue Bear & Other Short Stories
Anastasia Cassella-Young

Anastasia Cassella-Young’s ‘The Rogue Bear’ and ‘Small Blurb’ are based on true stories. A “rogue” bear is when it attacks or attempts to get into a home. ‘Small Blurb’ is based on a true story about a “small blurb” a dead woman received in a NY newspaper after dying on the IRT subway line. ‘The Writer’ is a fictional accounting of the runaway imagination of a writer following the prediction of the immediate future in a painting above his desk. Murder and mayhem ensue. ‘Just Like Grandma’ is about a grandmother protecting her grandchildren from an awful alcoholic father who is abusive to the point that “Grandma” protects the children with a gun and her story of the aftermath of that decision. ‘You’re Supposed to be Scared’ is a great Halloween story about a haunted house and the tour through that haunted house and what happens there.

This is a very good read from the wild imagination of a bi-polar surviving writer!

Two Sides of a Bi-polar Survivor - Anastasia Cassella-Young
Two Sides of a Bi-polar Survivor
Anastasia Cassella-Young

Anastasia Cassella-Young’s book, ‘Two Sides of a Bi-Polar Survivor’ shares the promiscuousness and manic side of a bi-polar survivor & the depressive, suicidal side. Read about the pendulum of happy & sad times as this illness rears its ugly head. The situations described herein are real. She can’t and won’t allow them to happen to her again. Not everyone survives this illness; because as hard as it is to diagnose it is even harder to live with. You must read about Ana’s life to appreciate what she & other survivors endure. What exactly is a “survivor”? Many, many families deal with this with loved ones in their lives. The illness not only takes a toll on its intended victims, but on the family and friends as well. Not everyone with this illness is a survivor. Many survivors will acknowledge that what Ana has gone through they too have experienced. Are you a “survivor” or do you know of one?
