Author Meeting Place Interviews Author Tabitha Robin of Calhoun/Georgia/USA

Bio: My history is a book within itself. I was born October 3, 1975 in Copperhill, TN; but raised in Dawnville Georgia. As a child I was bright, full of imagination and easy to get along with. As I got older (Pre-teen/ Teen) I was known as a shy and quite girl. Middle School and High School was difficult for me. To my peers, I was considered at the bottom of the popularity meter. I was made fun of and was ridiculed. As for me, I just minded my own business and made pretty good grades.

When I became a young woman, I became the black sheep of the family. I left home when I was 16 1/2 years old. I ended up on a very dark path. Finally when I turned 22, I found my way back to the right path. I went back and finished school, I got my high school diploma. I also went to College at Cossa Valley Technical School, in Calhoun Georgia.

With 3 children and a new love on the horizon (my future husband), My spirit and Imagination was reawaken. I begin to write. I poured my heart out on paper. My first book was published with an amazing sense of accomplishment. Even though times were ruff and jobs few and far between. I knew I could not make the bread and butter on a new author's income. So I took another job that most people would shun their nose in the air at, and say "Not Me! Never!"

I became a School bus driver. I know what you are thinking. "No Way! Not You!", I say to you. "Yes Way, Yes Me". I love my job. I love working with Children/ Young Adults. I love my salary pay and I love my hours. The Children that are entrusted to me on a daily bases have became a part of my life. I love them like my own children. They are inspiring me each and everyday with new ideas. My imagination is continually in the world of New.

Since I only work 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. I have many extra hours of the day for myself. I have so much free time to do what I love to do; and that is to write. Don't forget all the other benefits that come with my job. I get paid even when I am not at work. I get every holiday off that school students get. I even get the summer off to do as I please. So this is Perfect for me. My Life is full, Accomplished, and Exciting.

I am Mother and Wife. I am Book Author and Bus Driver. I am Counselor and Doctor. I am Cook and Mrs. Fix It. I am Daughter, Sister, Niece and Aunt. I am Granddaughter and Sister-in-law. I am Daughter-in-law also. I am Happy and Fulfilled. I am Friend and Companion. I AM WOMAN. I am Who I Am, and I am loving every minute of it.

For more information about my life, For more information about me read my books. "Through the Hourglass: A True Story" is about my life. Also know that there is a part of me in each and every one of my books. I love being me and hope you also love knowing me.

"My Christian Journey: Journal"

What genre/s would you like to write in?: Fantasy, Fiction and sometimes Poetry is the genre I like to write in.

Please share with us who or what encourages you to write and why?: First and foremost my Savior, Jesus Christ is the reason I am here to write. My husband, John keeps me encouraged and inspired. My Children, Amber, Jeremiah, Robert and Hope show me how to keep my imagination flowing. The reason I write, Is because I love it, It keeps me at peace. I am able to leave a piece of myself behind so that one day when I am gone, I will have let a part of me for those that I love, and to the ones that love me.

How long did it take for you to write your book/s?: It took me a life time to write my books. I have been writting since I was in middle school.

How long did it take for you to publish your book/s?: Since I have wrote most of my works when I was young, It took many years to publish my work. I had many processes to go through to complete my goals. There was the long editing part of each books, and the formating of the book, plus the finding the publishing company.

Who did you publish with and why?: First I went through Publish America. They gave me my first dream come true, but little did I know how they worked. Once I realized many things I decided to go out on my own. So now I use LULU press. I self Publish all my books now. I still in the mean time look for an agent and a well known publishing company. Until I am found by the reading world I will keep on doing what I love the most, that is write.

Please share with us how you prefer to market your book/s?: Marketing, I think is the hardest parts of publishing your book. I still have not yet found my agent or the publishing company I prefer. So as a self publishing author, I have to market all my own books. I have many sites that I have made myself such as my official site www.tabitha-robin.com. I give out bookmarks, and business cards, I do a lot of phone calling and talking with people. I do as many books signings as I can. I have been invited onto many radio stations to do a interview, I have about 500 people that I talk to on a regular basis about my books. Mostly my books have been placed on major search engines and almost all of the online stores. I still strive hard everyday to get my work out there to the public. It is a battle I still fight each day, but as long as I fight and don't give up, I will one day win the war of marketing.

Please share with us any event/s that you have planned in marketing your book/s: Well, I have many events. I have planned a short story contest, into which the winner wins an autographed copy of my book, and they also win a part in one of my books. Second I have a book signing at a major library planned after the first of the year. I strife to continue looking for an agent. That is the events I have in store for my marketing.

Do you wish to share any additional information with our readers?: Yes, there is so much information I would love to share with your readers, I just don't have the time of day to tell it all. So I want go on forever with it. First of all, I plan on writing many more books. I have several books on my brainstorming page of my site. These are all some of the books I plan on writing in the future. I believe if you have a dream you should strive to make it come true. Once that dream is accomplished, I believe you should get another dream and do it again. Keep on dreaming, for a person without a dream will perish. So, I say Live by Dreaming.

In "The Faith: is a book that relates to the fact of real faith. A Experience beyond mortal eyes, a depth that lingers within the soul. True Faith is never easy, It is always a journey, but in the end; it is worth it all. Beyond the normal route of life, Answers lay in waiting to be discovered. Only with a soul that is Hungary and Thirsty shall find it. Then once it is found, one shall be filled; and made completely whole.

Into the Spirit - Tabitha Robin

Into The Spirit
Tabitha Robin

Tabitha Robin's collection of poetry, entitled, Into The Spirit is simply put, brilliant! She writes in a style of her own, yet is reminiscent of the likes of Emily Dickinson; this has such a quality that you cannot help but laugh, cry and read them out loud to your friends and family. Such poetry is rare these days, but it is such a gift when one does come across such a collection! High praise to Tabitha for her exploring of the human condition, as well as personal pain, love, and overall her strong faith, with unflinching and clear language. I eagerly await to read more of this talented poet's work and congratulate her on a job very very well done! Five out of five stars for Into The Spirit!

Linking Stones: Beginnings - Tabitha Robin
Linking Stones: Beginnings
Tabitha Robin

"Young adult version" John, from Scotland and Tabitha, a Cherokee Indian princess in America, are bound together by God’s plan for their lives. Each find a stone in a cave where they live, each must decipher it’s meaning, and then set out to search for the other. Overwhelmed with dreams of insight the silhouetted figure of the other haunts their soul; they must go the distant and leave all they have ever known behind to find the reason for these predictive dreams. Once they have left their homelands they encounter an evil situation that is out to stop the chosen ones from uniting. The King of Hell, Abaddon sends out his wicked slaves, Vinayakas, The Blood Creature, and many others to pilfer the stones from them. The two stones hold many mysterious secrets that hold the key to the faith of humankind. Tabitha and John do not know the significance of the stones, they hold the prosperity of life, which in time they come to discover.

Naken Heart - Tabitha Robin

"Naked Heart"
Tabitha Robin

These poems tell the story of a my past. A Time when I endured physically abused and mentally tormented by the hands of mistake. In my words, I shared the emotional roller coaster of insanity and solitude; from contemplating suicide to drug addiction. Somewhere between heaven and hell I once lay undecided not knowing if death or life would be my savior. The poem “Black wings” displays the acronyms to the REVELATION OF LIFE. And, “Blood of hate, In the category of all, and Hate, reveal the shameful truth of my spirit scorned who has reached its end.  Because my life was so dark at times, I am able to relate to the shame, heartache, bitterness and hate that other women have felt. Now Only a scar remains to remind me of how well I’ve healed.

Soulful Ink Faith: In the Cross of Christ - Tabitha Robin

Soulful Ink Faith: in the Cross of Christ
Tabitha Robin

Soulful Ink is a book of inspirational poetry. It is complied with poems about my faith, my family, my nation, my heritage and my love. It is my soul that you read; from the ink of my soul you see my heart. This is my second book, following my first book called The Burning Bush, which also is a book of poetry. You may ask why I have titled this book Soulful Ink; well this is the reason why.

2 Corinthians 3:3
‘Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the Epistle of Christ ministered by us (Christ was the author of the Epistle of which Paul speaks, i.e., ‘soul saved from sin and darkness’), written not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God (which is the highest commendation of all); not in
tablets of stone, but in fleshy tablets of the heart (referring to changed hearts).

I write these words from the very depths of my soul, sharing my faith with each of my readers. Please join me on my journey into faith, My Soulful Ink.

GO!
Go the distance that no one else has,
Fly to another world,
Go farther than the known,
Take the chance you've been given,
The Adventure, Only you can journey;
Don't stand still on the edge of past,
Go, Find the treasure life bestows;
Search the depths of your soul,
Test the waters of your mind,
Dive deep into caverns unexplored,
Climb mountains, that never been climbed;
Fly into diminutions of only your time,
Go, don't be dormant;
Go, find all that can be found;
An Answer, A Truth, A love, A life
Go, for only you can travel it;
Go, Hurry before time runs out,
Go, Just journey Through the unknown;
Make it become known

"Here is another soldier of the greatest army in the world--the ones who fight no wars that kill and the ones whose only weapon is love. If God is Not Real is one of many of my favorite poems in this astonishing, revitalizing and well penned book. It begs that you look deep within to answer the question that you want answered, the doubts that cloud your judgments and keep you from your eternal source. A lie can't live that long, so why then are people still talking and fighting over a man who walked this earth more than two-thousand years ago? We should all know why by now--even those in denial, just go to prove the point. Talented Author, Tabitha Robin's inspirations come from a place that is beautiful, untouched and full of reverence--from HIM. As a Christian, I was in awe once again for this great God that we so adore, the one who shed his blood for sinners and rose from the dead on the third day!

Bought With Blood, You are, Shoes, Hello God, Flower of Blood, My Hero, Show Me and Conservative Republican are some of my favorites and an attestation to the Author's faith and love in Christ and a reminder to all--Christians and non-believers--to Go, just journey through the unknown and make it known. All honor and praise to him who reigns forever and ever, Amen."

The Burning Bush - Tabitha Robin

"The Burning Bush"

Tabitha Robin

The Burning Bush is a book of poetry. It is a part of my heart, mind, spirit, body, and soul. I started writing this book three years ago. I was writing to pour out part of myself and to allow myself freedom. If we bottle ourselves up we shall surely die. I needed these words to pour out of me. This book is about my life before and after Christ Jesus. It is my testimony, my burning bush. I hope my words help someone who reads this. I hope it will touch and show them that life can get better if you go in the right direction. I have traveled down many paths in my life. I have strayed off the right path many times, but thanks to my Lord and Savior, I have been placed back where I belong. I look at my life now and see I am not where I once was. I am still not where I should be, but each day I strive to be the best I can be.
