Author Meeting Place Interviews Author Lori Titus of Los Angeles/ California/ U.S.A
Bio: I started working on getting some stories of mine published online in 2008. After having short stories posted on MicroHorror and ShadeWorks, I submitted a short story to Flashes in the Dark. Tony Smith, the editor at that time, not only accepted the story but asked me if I'd like to turn it into a serial. One year and over eighty episodes later, I'm still writing The Marradith Ryder Series.
How many book/s have you written?: Green Water Lullaby is my first published book, but there are plans in the works for others.
Please share with us your book titles: Green Water Lullaby.
What genre/s would you like to write in?: I moslty write horror/paranormal stories, but I have ideas for a sci-fi/post apocalytptic tale as well.
Please share with us who or what encourages you to write and why?: I started writing as a child as a way to shake nightmares. But once I started to love writing, everything inspired me to create. I am inspired by other writers and the fact that we all have something important and unique to convey.
How long did it take for you to write your book/s?: Green Water Lullaby took about five months, but only because I was still working on Marradith Ryder and another side project at the time.
How long did it take for you to publish your book/s?: Not long! It was just a matter of submitting my work and hoping that it would be accepted.
Who did you publish with and why?: I decided to publish with Sonar4Publications because they keep a small group of writers that they really work with. I didn't want to be a nameless, voiceless person in a company so large that my work wouldn't be paid attention to.
Do you wish to share any additional information with our readers?: Green Water Lullaby will be available through Sonar4Publications as an e-book in
April 2010. The Marradith Ryder Series updates once a week on Flashes in the Dark
